About Me
I’ve always had a love for fashion, especially Indian design and craftsmanship.
I noticed that some of the world’s top brands turned to India not just for design inspiration but also for the skills of its local artisans and designers who worked behind the scenes to produce stunning works of beading and embroidery for their collections.
Yet, in spite of India’s thriving fashion industry, Indian fashion did not have a visible platform outside of India.
At the same time, there was a growing demand for high-end traditional apparel by South Asians living outside of the Indian subcontinent and those interested in Indian fashion and culture.
But what was missing from this landscape was access and distribution.
This was the impetus for Zarrdoz Art: a stunning fashion website for Indian designer wear to give shoppers access to high end Indian fashion at their fingertips.
My goal with Zarrdoz Art is not just to make it a platform for Indian fashion but to forge a collaborative relationship between the designer and the customer.
In this way, it’s not just about a sari or a lehenga but the talent, passion and craftsmanship behind the design and the likes, wants and desires of the dynamic woman who will wear it.
