Professional Background
I first developed an interest in business at a young age. I built my own retail business in Zanzibar, Tanzania. Having to travel abroad to purchase merchandise in whole-sale allowed me the opportunity to attain valuable skills in the realm of purchasing and selling.
Once settled in Ontario, Canada, I worked in several aspects of the insurance industry as an underwriter in personal and commercial lines. Subsequently, I have successfully attained my Chartered Insurance Professional designation. I am now a sales representative at Century 21.
Personal Background
I was born and raised on the beautiful island of Zanzibar, Tanzania in East Africa. Now settled in Ontario, Canada, I now live in Markham with my mother, wife, and two children.
I have two children, a son, 21, and a daughter, 19 years of age. Both my children are currently obtaining a post-secondary education; my son is studying Engineering, while my daughter is studying Kinesiology.
While I lived in Tanzania for most of my years, I have also resided in Mumbai, India for a couple of years. Having lived in three different countries, I have gained vast knowledge and appreciation for different ethnicities, cultures, and lifestyles - all of which strengthen my ability to meet your individual needs.
Personal Interests
As a family oriented man, I have to say I highly enjoy having family and friends nearby, whether we’re actively out and about or simply having a quiet dinner together.
In my downtime, I enjoy staying active outdoors, watching movies, barbecuing, and going on road trips.
I love being in the ocean whether it’s to go boating, fishing or swimming, thereby making my trip to Cuba one of my favorites.
I've also visited several countries in Africa, India, Europe, the Middle East and Far East. Recently, I also enjoyed an incredibly scenic drive across the East Coast of Canada.
I have a great passion for sports with soccer, badminton, and volleyball being my strongest. When it comes to indoor games, I enjoy playing ping pong, snooker, and darts.
Community Involvement
I have taken the incredible opportunity to work with the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Markham by raising pledges via door knocking in my neighborhood.
I play a consistently active role in my religious community as part of various committees in my community mosque.
I work with a team to plan several events throughout the year. As a member of the maintenance team, on a purely voluntary basis, I often take the time to help maintain the community center and place of worship through construction work and paint jobs.
Education
I have attained my Chartered insurance professional (CIP) designation.
I can proudly say I have been coached in all things Real Estate by the astounding Rob Vivian.
