ABOUT SAM & TANZEEL
Sameer Remtulla (Sam Rem) is a classically and contemporary trained singer and multi-talented musician, songwriter, and producer, from Calgary, AB. He has performed across Canada, USA, and International. Along with performing, Sam has produced, written, and performed on numerous international musical projects along with designed stage shows performed at the International Jubilee Arts Festival in Lisbon Portugal in 2018.
Tanzeel is a Hindustani Classical trained vocalist and songwriter, living in Calgary, AB. She began singing professionally, as a child artist on Pakistan National TV. Over the years, she has had the opportunity to perform live in Pakistan, Canada, USA, Portugal, and Tanzania. In 2017, she won RED Fm Idol in Calgary.
Sam and Tanzeel have been singing together for over 8 years. Through this time, they have performed together for four different bands and in several genres like bollywood, sufi, and devotional. They have recorded several music videos, written several devotional songs together and have collaborated with internationally-acclaimed composers and musicians such as Salim-Sulaiman, Farhan Shah, and others. Their most cherishable memory was performing together in Lisbon, Portugal for the International Jubilee Arts Festival.
