Ahsan Sadiq works with venture capital companies and early/mid stage companies' founders and management on a variety of transactions and matters common to investors and technology companies. His clients benefit from his practical approach, having worked in high tech and financial services companies of varying sizes. Ahsan helps large institutions with their outsourcing initiatives, particularly with vendor selection, contract development and negotiation.
Ahsan also has experience in the following areas:
Outsourcing: development and issuance of RFxs, development and negotiation of master agreements and statements of work as related to key client processes, e.g. back-office processing, document storage, HR, security services, loyalty programs.
M&A: conducting pre-acquisition due-diligence and providing post-acquisition integration services for acquiring clients
Commercial Agreements: all manner of commercial and technology agreements, including those related to sales, purchasing, intellectual property and partnerships.
Financing: all aspects of private investment transaction from both investor and investee perspective.
Prior to joining Miller Thomson, Ahsan led business development and sales for a publicly-listed, multi-national technology vendor, ZTE, in Canada for a number of years. More recently, he oversaw the integration of a large wealth management company into a client bank and was the chief negotiator in a number of outsourcing initiatives of the bank.
He worked at another national firm, assisting companies with commercial and corporate matters, including M&A transactions, outsourcing and going public transactions. He also can be of assistance in governance mandates, having assisted special committee of the board of a public company in its due diligence efforts in response to a fraud accusation.
Ahsan is involved in the community, coaching youth baseball and basketball.
