Chandan K. Sabharwal, B.A. LL.B.
Background
Chandan obtained her B.A. from the University of British Columbia as a History Major.
She obtained her LL.B. from the University of British Columbia Law School.Change was called to the Bar of British Columbia in January, 2008.
She articled in Port Coquitlam and then practiced in Surrey.She was born in Vancouver, Canada but has lived in India during her childhood and attended school in India. She is fluent in 3 languages: English, Punjabi and Hindi. She has been providing services to her clients in all three languages.In her spare time she spends time with her family, and loves to travel.
Law Practice
Chandan practices solely in the area of family law.
She has handled cases in the Supreme Court of British Columbia and the Provincial Court of British Columbia.
She has handled cases in many aspects, involving parenting arrangements, parenting time, parental responsibilities, guardianship, child support, section 7 expenses, spousal support and property division.
Chandan has also assisted clients who wish to have separation agreements, prenuptual agreements and cohabitation agreements drafted.
Community Involvement
She is actively involved in fundraising for the Canadian Diabetes Association and wants to give back to the community.
Chandan and her family have organized two fundraising dinners for the Canadian Diabetes Association.
She participates in the Nanak Mission Sikh Charity Organization, who organize a food kitchen for the residents of downtown east side Vancouver once a month.
Chandan has been on the Board of the Newton Business Improvement Association since 2014. Chandan has also been appointed to committees on the Canadian Bar Association (CBA).
She has appeared as a guest on the Harjinder Thind Show on RedFM multiple times.
