Jazz’s root goes back to India. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Masters in Punjabi Language.
She then chose to pursue the hairdressing career and esthetic career in India and successfully operated her own salon for eight years prior to coming to Canada.
Upon arrival in Canada she wanted to ensure that her technique was up to par according to the Canadian requirements so she took additional training at the Penticton School of Hairdressing.
After her graduation, she worked for Raymonds Salon, Toppy’s and Magic Cut between 1989 and 1992.
In 1992, she opened her own salon in Surrey and helped train apprentices as well as estheticians. She upgraded her own skills during that time as well.
She soon realized the lack of skills in the industry and decided to open her own hairdressing school in Surrey.
It was one of the first schools established in the Punjabi society in September, 1996.
During this time she furthered her own education as well and trained with London School for Advanced Hairdressing and Joy School for Esthetics as well as seminars with the Dominelli European College of Esthetics.
After that she introduced the techniques she had learned and came up with an unique combined hairdressing and esthetics program.
Students can graduate in one year with both a hairdressing and esthetics diploma.
She has not only taught the skills and hairdressing and esthetics but inspired students to be business savvy and to explore their own potential.
Jaz believes in continually upgrading her education by attending top of the line workshops in the hair and esthetics industry.
Jaz successfully completed the Instructor Diploma Program at Vancouver Community College and hold a Provincial Instructor Diploma.
A leader in her community, she hosts and produces the Vision TV program, WAQT 4 U.
It features videos, health tips and viewer feedback while exploring new ideas. She supports children, human rights, and she's doing social work for the community.
Her hobbies include Vasstu Shastra (Feng Shui) and Astrology.
