We are pleased to announce the creation of Markham Singing Club. The club is located in Markham, Ontario. We are inviting potential candidates to join our club who can sing Hindi, Urdu or Punjabi songs or play any music instrument such as Harmonium or Tabla. The members will meet once a week on weekends.

A famous saying of a famous philosopher Plato: Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything.

Objective of the Club • An opportunity for singers and instrument players to demonstrate their talents • An opportunity to learn singing techniques and learn Ragas • An opportunity to learn rhythm and sing on Taals (Beats) • Improve confidence in performing in front of large audience and overcome stage fright • An environment to have discussions on music, learn from each other and overcome shortcomings. Fee: No fee – Assistance with refreshments will be appreciated Registration: Only those who can sing or demonstrate singing potential should join. Not all canaries sing. Similarly, not everybody can sing either. However, people who cannot sing are blessed with other talents. They should look for their hidden talents. Some people who cannot sing play instruments such as Tabla or Harmonium.

Music is the language of the spirit. It opens the secret of life bringing peace and abolishing conflicts. So, in our club we will only discuss music, we will abstain from any discussion on politics and religion.

If you are interested in music and want to join our club then please contact the undersigned. We expect calls from serious people only. Thanks
