Looking for a versatile chef/cook capable of working both in the Tapas Room Restaurant and helping with some catering events at the Belle Centre in Peace River. Can work weekends & evening and have the ability to moved into the Working Kitchen Manager position. Possible partnership available for the right candidate. You will be working under a Red-seal Chef with 40 years in catering, banquets & the hospitality business.
Part-time positions also available but you must be dependable and a self starter/leader
Must be self-motivated & have the ability to work closely with others. You must be pro-active instead of re-active ensuring that you set yourself of for the very best success each and every day that you are at work and ensuring that you set up other employees with that same success when you are not on shift. Exceptional organizational skills & excellent hygiene is a requirement.
Must have reliable transport to ensure punctuality on a daily basis. (Drivers license is an asset). applicant must be willing to work evenings/weekends if necessary.
Salary depends on experience starting from $2800 a month plus profit sharing and attendance/performance.
Applicant must have positive attitude ! Food Safe, Food Handling certificates are required Pro-serve liquor certificate is an asset. Experience in the RESTAURANT industry is required.
Job Description will include but is not limited to: Prepping/packaging food Assisting the Chef/cook for small restaurant Keep your area/kitchen clean and tidy, dishes cleaned Fabricating inventory lists & tracking current inventory to ensure adequate inventory is prepped and ready for each shift. All necessary food safe paperwork, documentation completion (Ex. Fridge temperature records, inventory sheets, order sheets, etc)
Restaurant is cozy, trendy and unique within the Belle Centre. Open to the public and has a European twist. We ask that you are creative, and have good cooking skills to ensure that consistency of the meals we produce. Motivated in your career and have a vision for the future and entrepreneurial asperations are welcome.
