Our Story
When we set up Jet Immigration in 2007, we did not create another Immigration Consultancy in Canada.
Instead, we carried forward a small legacy whose roots were laid down 42 years ago by my father, Mr. Sarbjit Soni.
On April 13, 1974 in a small town in Northern India, he began a travel agency called Guru Nanak Travel Advisers.
At first, airline and ship ticket sales were promising but over the years margins reduced.
Keeping the business alive became difficult. Suddenly a new opportunity arrived and he was quick to make the most of it – immigration to North America.
One such country at the forefront of all immigration was Canada. Abundant resources, lack of skilled manpower and immense opportunities drove the Canadian Government to set up initiatives to find immigrants willing to settle in Canada.
Town halls were held in Indian cities by airline companies and travel agents were canvassed and appointed to help send Indians to all Provinces of Canada.
It was a time when sponsoring your wife to Canada after you had arrived required a simple application in the morning and an approval/rejection by evening.
Times have changed over the years, immigration to Canada is now much tougher – frauds are many. Authorities are more selective with who they let in and out of Canada.
Having entered the Consulting Business in 1997, I was the youngest Immigration Consultant in the organised Immigration Consulting Sector of the Region.
Amidst gradual changes in immigration policy and the Canadian Government’s mandate to regulate the Canadian Immigration Consulting Industry in 2004, I decided to establish our base in Canada.
After practicing as a Certified Canadian Immigration Consultant since February 2005, Jet Immigration was born in 2007. We, as a team, began by offering all types of Canadian Immigration Consultancy.
Slowly as we gained the trust and business of our loyal customers, we converted to a Limited Corporation in 2009.
After that, there has been no looking back. So far, the Soni Family has helped secure Canadian Visas for over 5000 applicants.
We are also credited with solving some of the more complex immigration cases which other consultants had given up on.
We have provided correct representation before concerned immigration authorities on such occasions and had rulings in our favor.
Why do we do it?
I and my team are ourselves Canada immigrants, we know all too well the challenges and struggles faced from the moment someone makes up his mind to immigrate.
Immigration is just a stepping stone to many future situations one will face when he starts afresh.
This stepping stone must not be a stumbling block to an exciting adventure that lies ahead.
