Key Responsibilities:
Prepare Authentic Biryani and Tandoori Dishes: Create a variety of traditional Indian dishes, including biryanis and tandoori dishes, maintaining the highest standards of taste and presentation.
Food Quality: Ensure the quality and consistency of all menu items, following established recipes and portion sizes.
Kitchen Organization: Maintain a clean and organized workstation, ensuring that all ingredients are readily available, and equipment is in good working condition.
Collaboration: Work closely with other kitchen staff to coordinate the timing of different dishes and maintain an efficient kitchen operation.
Safety and Sanitation: Adhere to all safety and sanitation standards, following HACCP guidelines, to provide a safe and clean kitchen environment.
Menu Development: Assist in menu development by suggesting new dishes or variations, bringing creativity to our traditional offerings.
Cost Control: Help in controlling food costs by minimizing waste and monitoring inventory.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Line Cook, specializing in Indian cuisine, with a focus on Biryani and Tandoori cooking techniques.
Strong knowledge of Indian spices, flavors, and traditional cooking methods.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
Excellent knife skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
Team player with strong communication and collaboration skills.
Creativity and passion for Indian cuisine.
Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus.
