My name is Hina and I am a student at the University of Calgary completing my final year of Bachelor of Education with majoring in Secondary Mathematics. I am on my way to becoming a certified Math teacher here in Calgary. I have been tutoring for 10+ years and have tutored over 30+ students online due to COVID, regardless, the results have been amazing. My sessions are designed to resemble an in-person experience where I share a whiteboard screen with the student and do any questions/examples they may be struggling with.
Qualifications: - Worked at a school in Calgary preparing students for a Math Alberta Provincial Examination - 10 years+ tutoring experience in a wide range of grade and subject levels - Volunteered and worked as a tutor with many organizations here in Calgary, providing students with affordable, budget-friendly, quality tutoring. - Volunteered at schools as a Teacher Assistant- focusing on providing students with 1-1 focus - Taken 15+ Math Courses at the University Level - Taken 20+ Teacher Preparation courses at the University Level designed for training for working with all different types of students. - Completed last semester with 4.0 GPA - Honor Roll and Math Excellence Awards
Working with students is my passion, and I am very dedicated to what I do. I work with students to build both their academic skills and boost their confidence to enjoy what they are learning. My goal is to see the growth of my students through monitoring their success in their learning.
Sessions: - All sessions are ONLINE: Zoom- whiteboard screen is shared, to resemble an in-person like experience. - Sessions durations include 30 min - 1 hr (depending on rate and preference) - 1-1 session and group sessions are available
Rates: 1 hr sessions: - Grade 1 to 9: $30/hr [regular $35] - Grade 10 to 12: $35/hr [regular: $40]
