Hi, I'm Maya.
I started working as a tutor over a year ago, and have worked with around 20 great students since then. I have studied in French my whole life, and have been speaking and studying English since I was 2. I can help every student feel confident in their reading, grammar and writing skills in either language, so that they may excel in school and communicate better. I only work with students between 3-16 years of age. I have references available from current and previous clients.
I use workbooks, printable worksheets, games and reading books (some are leveled, others are not, it depends on your child's age/reading level) We may also use a laptop to do some online interactive activities. If you would like, I can assign your child some homework in order for them to practice, or we can complete homework assigned by their school teachers.
I offer lessons at the Orleans library and the Cumberland library. I do offer classes at home as well, but keep in mind that we will have to meet in a public place to get to know each other first for safety reasons. Unfortunately, I only teach students in the Orleans and Avalon area.
My rates are firm, 25$ an hour.
