Please join us in learning the basics of Indian classical music. We will teach you melodic singing, vocal percussion, and much more. No prior musical training is required and all cultural backgrounds are welcome.
A program of Encore!Sistema and the Park Extension Youth Organization, this course is being taught by Josh Fink (Yo-Yo Ma, Chicago Symphony, Carnegie Hall) in collaboration with Dr. K. Subba Narasiah (Director of Seetha Academy of South Indian Classical Music), Aditya Verma (disciple of Pandit Ravi Shankar, Ustad Aashish Khan, Ustad Zakir Hussain), and Dr. Lavanya Narasiah.
