How Did it Start ?
It was our own search for the shopping what landed us in starting up with this store, 6 years back when We were shopping for one of the marriage in family, the strongest desire of all of us in family was to get right outfits, traditional pure georgette saree for grand moms, aunties and elder ladies (yes, they wanted Rekha Style Saree and yes, My mom wanted exact color saree Hema Malini was wearing in Bagban ! ;-) , something sexy and chic for 20+ girls (they wanted to dress up like Kareena Kapoor) as they wanted to look hot and wanted to wear saree but were worried on how to carry it well and 30+ ladies wanted something latest yet not 'auntie-type' wear (It was the time when Aishwarya Rai Bachhan's marriage was latest affair, so her Indian Bahu look was In) , ofcourse why men would be left behind?
They wanted to match with their 'better-half' and yet wanted it to be pocket- friendly as it is to be only one-time wear Kurta/Sherwani !
Brides maid had their own list of choice - yes they wanted to wear same color saree/suits made from same fabric, with same work but one was from Toronto, one from Florida, one was suppose to travel from Africa, and they wanted someone to take their measurements and get right fitting.
It was our never-ending quest to find exact match to wear the style we want - and not what shopkeeper or stockist wanted to sell us! We know what we want and we know what suits us !
And there was the most important twist in tale - we all were in different parts of the world ! We were suppose to meet each other only one day before D-Day!
We wanted to shop with each other and have all the fun of comparing, gossiping, matching, color selection, style choices and ofcourse following latest Bollywood Trends! We wanted right fit outfits, we did not have enough time to try it before the marriage function or go to tailor again and re-size it or re-style it.
