By keeping our services under one roof, we are able cut down the time a patient waits for their treatment, making your experience in our clinic seamless.
Our practice is fully digitized, making your visit to our office as efficient as possible. All patient files are digital and we utilize digital x-rays and ortho-panoramic radiographs.
Additionally, during treatment our doctors utilize intraoral camera technology, allowing you to see exactly what they see in a diagnosis.
We find this helps patients more fully understand their treatment options and steps they require.
A patient’s first visit to Lancaster Dental entails a comprehensive dental exam and treatment planning with diagnostics and a full set of x-rays.
In addition, we typically complete a full dental cleaning and periodontal assessment.
Patients are recommended to start visiting a dentist at three years old, continuing with regular exams and cleanings twice a year, depending on their periodontal status.
We also suggest patients in their teenage years (or older) to have an orthodontic consultation.
Our DentistsDr. Paul Sofrone
Lancaster Dental takes pride in having one of the best dental teams in the Kitchener and Waterloo area, and Dr. Paul Sofrone is one of the reasons why we stay confident about that claim.
Dr. Paul Sofrone has a dual dental degree (2001 and 2011).
He is a graduate of the New York University College of Dentistry, where he was trained by some of the best clinical dental instructors in the field.
He successfully passed the Canadian and American Dental Boards before deciding to officially register as a dentist in Ontario.
Fluent in English, French and Romanian, he completed his dental studies in all three languages, giving him an edge especially when it comes to communicating with our wide range of clients.
Of course, our dentists are just as passionate about their lives outside the office as they are about their dental practice.
Dr. Sofrone is a dedicated husband and an amazing father to his 2 wonderful boys.
Dr. Ramez Shaker
Lancaster dental has always prided itself in having an excellent team, and Dr. Ramez Shaker has been playing a huge role in making that possible for the past year.
Dr. Shaker received his Bachelor of Dental Medicine and Surgery from Ains University in Cairo, Egypt in 2009.
He then moved to Canada where he joined the Summer Externship program in the School of Dentistry in McGill University in Montreal.
After this, he got his DDS degree from the highly reputable School of Dentistry in the University of California in San Francisco.
Armed with his years of technical training and his natural skill, he started practicing as a general dentist in California for 2 years, after which, he moved back to the General Toronto Area.
Dr. Shaker is an all-in-one member of the team, with work covering all aspects of general dentistry – from restorative work to crowns and bridges, from root canals to surgeries.
He is also Invisalign-certified, and is extremely efficient in working with both adults and children.
Dr. Shaker is originally from Cairo, Egypt. He enjoys a few games of soccer and squash in his spare time, and loves traveling wherever his feet and passport can take him.
