Kitchen Help - Caribbean Restaurant
We are looking for a motivated and reliable kitchen help to join our team at The Roti Hut restaurant to assist our head chefs. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, an eye for detail, and a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruits - Assist chefs in cooking and plating dishes according to recipes and standards - Maintain a clean and organized work area, including washing dishes and utensils - Stock and replenish supplies as needed - Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of experience working in a kitchen or restaurant environment - Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure - Good communication and teamwork skills - Basic knife skills - Familiarity with food safety and sanitation guidelines - Ability to lift heavy pots and equipment (up to 30 lbs)
Soft Skills:
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic - Good organizational and time management skills - Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment - Excellent customer service skills
