Mehboob A. Shaikh is the founder of Ahmad Law Office. He was admitted to law practice in 1987. Most of Shaikh’s legal training and experience is from Pakistan, where he worked with Cornelius, Lane & Mufti, a reputed law firm in Lahore, Pakistan, for 16 years where he excelled as a partner in the year 2002, before immigrating to Canada. Shaikh then spent the next three years at Law School, University of Manitoba and at Legal Aid Manitoba. He was then called to bar by the Law Society of Manitoba as a Barrister and Solicitor in the year of 2007.
While working at Cornelius, Lane & Mufti, Shaikh focused his practice in Business, commercial, financial and real estate matters. He handled and supervised numerous corporate, commercial, financial and real estate transactions for individual clients, various local and foreign companies and banks in Pakistan.
Shaikh commenced his active practice in Manitoba focusing in the areas of immigration, wills and estates, real estate and business law matters. He is also fluent in Urdu, Punjabi, and Hindi. Shaikh is the first immigrant lawyer from Punjab, Pakistan, who successfully completed recognition of his foreign credentials to become a lawyer in Manitoba.
Surinder M. Rana B.A, M.A, LL.B., is an Associate Lawyer at Ahmad Law Office. He was a practicing lawyer in Delhi, India and is still enrolled as an Advocate with the Bar Council of Delhi. He practices both in the province of Manitoba and Ontario. Rana practices in Immigration, Family, Income Tax and Business Law related matters. He experienced in dealing with matters related to Provincial Offences, Employment Insurance Act, Social Benefits Tribunal, Canada Revenue Agency Audit and Appeal. Rana also has considerable experience in Immigration appeal matters before the Immigration Refugee Board.
Arshdeep Kahlon B.A. L.L.B. (Hons.), is an Articling Student-at-Law at Ahmad Law Office. He was enrolled as an Advocate with the Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana, India in 2011. He commenced his practice in Civil and Criminal Litigation at the District Courts, in the state of Punjab, India. He immigrated to Canada and obtained Certificate of Qualification from the Federation of Law Societies of Canada in 2017 and joined Ahmad Law Office in 2018.
