About
Nan K.P. Aulakh
Raised in the East Kootenays, and having lived in Victoria for the past 20 years, Nan is proud to call British Columbia home.
After obtaining her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Carelton University in Ottawa, Nan returned home to B.C. and eventually moved to Victoria to obtain her law degree.
After law school, Nan completed her articles with the Ministry of Attorney General and has practiced in Victoria since her call to the British Columbia bar in 2000.
Through her years of practice, Nan has gained experience in various areas of law. She spent many years in court as a federal crown counsel and subsequently in private practice working predominately on litigation matters.
Nan has appeared in various levels court including Provincial, Supreme, Court of Appeal and the Tax Court of Canada.
Nan has also appeared before the Expropriation Appeal Board, Environmental Appeal Board, Investment Dealers Association, BC Securities Commission and the Residential Tenancy Board.
Early in her career, Nan also gained experience working on contract with the Human Rights Commission (as it was known at the time) investigating and making recommendations on human rights complaints.
Nan’s diverse experience provides her with the ability to provide her clients a balanced opinion and work with her clients in a productive and well-rounded manner.
Outside the office, Nan volunteers her time generously with local non-profit organizations and various sports clubs for her children. A proud hockey mom, Nan can be easily be found in the arena during the winter cheering for her children.
Nan is fluent in Punjabi, Hindi and has been certified to work in French. Currently, Nan enjoys working with her clients on business/ corporate commercial and real estate matters.
She also enjoys working with her clients on focused litigation issues. Nan continues to work with her clients in all parts of the Greater Victoria region.
