We are a growing company, looking forward to open soon, a new Indian fine dining restaurant with a new concept in Montreal. We are looking to add to our team an experienced and creative Chef cook who would also head the kitchen operations and create a menu in line with our concept and which respond to the different catering and banquets services we offer.
In addition to the salary package, we offer employeebonus and  benefit package.
 
Specific Skills
Experienced Head Chef , with 7-10 years cooking experience in Indian restaurant.
<ul>
<li>With in depth knowledge of traditional North and South Indian cooking methods, cuisine and spices, and 2-4 years supervisory Head Chef experience.</li>
<li>Culinary Education and or certificates are a plus.</li>
</ul>
Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Create delicious dishes of Fine Authentic Indian Cuisine including: entrée, main course and sweets, side dishes, drinks” Also create special menus for special occasions, or combo menu for 2/4, working with marketing/business development staff etc.,</li>
<li>Creative in garnishing and presenting the dish in an elegant style and creating new dishes.</li>
<li>Plan menus for lunch and dinner, ensure food quality, determine size of food portions.</li>
<li>Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods.</li>
<li>Organize and manage buffets and banquets for our catering and special occasions requests.</li>
<li>Determine needed food ingredients, supplies and equipment, estimate costs, monitor, and order supplies and Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment.</li>
<li>Recruit and hire staff: train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food.</li>
<li>Supervise kitchen staff and helpers and Manage kitchen operations inspect and insure Clean kitchen and work areas.</li>
