Active consultant gastroenterologist at St Joseph’s Health Care and Hamilton Health Sciences, in Hamilton, since 1990.
After completing medical graduation (MBBS) in India and working briefly as locum physician in Newfoundland & Labrador, completed Internship at University of Toronto followed by postgraduate training in Internal Medicine & Fellowship in Gastroenterology at McMaster University (1984–1989)
Have worked as Chief of Clinical Service for Gastroenterology, Chairman of the Health Records Committee & member of the Quality Assurance Committee at St. Joseph’s Health Care Centre. Currently continue as an active member of the Endoscopy Committee and the Health Records Committee.
Actively participate in teaching on the Clinical Teaching unit (CTU) at St Joseph’s Hospital, supervising undergraduate and postgraduate MD students.
Provide clinical teaching to medical students and postgraduate fellows in medicine, surgery & gastroenterology, including training in endoscopic procedures.
Clinical Interests
Full-time clinician since 1990 with special interest in interventional gastroenterology, GI bleeding, IBD, colorectal neoplasms, dyspepsia, IBS and contribution to clinical trials.
