IFC/ Interferential Current Therapy
The physiological effects of Interferential Current Therapy include: an increase in localized blood flow which can improve healing by reducing swelling and as a result helps remove damaged tissue and bring nutrients necessary for healing to the injured area. The stimulation of local nerve cells that can have a pain reducing/anaesthetic effect.
ULTRASOUND
The effect of ultrasound via an increase in local blood flow can be used to help reduce local swelling and chronic inflammation, promote bone fracture healing.
The most common conditions treated with ultrasound include soft tissue injuries such as tendonitis (or tendinitis if you prefer), non-acute joint swelling and muscle spasm.
Most muscle and ligament injuries can benefit from therapeutic ultrasound.
LASER THERAPY
Laser therapy has been used for many years by physiotherapists for its reported anti-inflammatory and pain relieving effects. Physiotherapists effectively use laser therapy for the treatment of a multitude of acute and chronic soft tissue injuries. These include but are not limited to tendinopathy (eg. tennis elbow and achilles tendonitis), rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, trigger points, thoracic pain, neck pain, jaw soreness, and wound healing.
DECOMPRESSION
Spinal Decompression is a non-invasive, non surgical treatment for certain types of neck and lower back conditions.
Spinal Decompression is a form of mechanical traction that works to slowly and gently stretch the spine, taking pressure off of compressed discs and vertebrae.
Non-surgical spinal decompression is one of the most exciting therapies developed in many years because it demonstrates good statistical results for long term pain relief.
