Mimosa Fashion & Tailor specializes in the custom-made design of trendy apparel varying from bridal and special occasion to investment clothing, along with the alteration or tailoring of ready-to-wear of any type.
For over 25 years, people of all ages and figures have come to us for our personalized service, expertise, and meticulous attention to detail. Mimosa Staples, founder and owner of Mimosa Fashion & Tailor of Edmonton, Alberta began machine sewing at the age of 10 and hasn’t stopped since. She began experimenting with design and fabric early on.
In high school, she understood that her passion and dream was to have her very own seamstress shop where she might put her creativity and skill to work for other people doing exactly what she enjoyed most. With that objective in mind, Mimosa Fashion & Tailor apprenticed with several tailors in the Ottawa, Ontario region.
She after that worked for one local clothing manufacturer where, among other responsibilities, designed all sorts of clothing that were manufactured and sold to major retailers.
Wanting to get closer to the client, learn more about what discriminating consumers want and need, she worked as a sales associate for several boutiques and clothing stores.
She once again applied her design creativity at one boutique by designing, choosing fabric, and sewing a limited selection of cruise wear to add to its line of apparel. Mimosa Staples established Mimosa Fashion & Tailor of Edmonton, Alberta in 2006 on Mill Woods South Side, offering dressmaking and various other apparel custom-made design, as well as alterations and tailoring services.
