About teacher :
I started learning Bharatanatyam from the age of 4. I have gradually mastered in this art-form. It was an intense and a disciplined training, which helped me to assist my Guru, for the last 7 years. In India, I have participated in various Bharatanatyam workshops by renowned artists around different parts of Tamil Nadu and also took part in numerous dance festivals held in Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, West Bengal, Assam etc. I have won accolades for both my exceptional Bharatanatyam stage performance and for promoting, preserving, and popularizing the heritage of Indian Performing Arts. I should also mention that I have learnt carnatic music for over 15 years, and I am fluent in Hindi, Tamil, Marathi, and English.

Gurubhyo Namahah!.
Here, you will learn, Shlokam, Gestures (Asamyukta Hastas, Samyukta Hastas, Drishti Bhedas, Shiro Bhedas and Greeva Bhedas), uses of Gestures (Viniyoga), Basic Thalam - Jaathi (counts) and Gathi (3 speeds).
Warm-up time : Basic Kallaripayatt exercise for ages below 25 years and simple stretches for other age groups. Then, Adavus (ie., footwork) will be your first lesson, followed by Compositions, Navarasa etc in the composition that I teach. You would also learn to Choreograph as our lesson progresses.
If you are dedicated and committed, I am sure you can learn this ancient dance-form. After multiple rehearsals, you would notice a significant difference in your form and expression. Learning has no end if you're sincere towards it.
