About Tony Sandhu
Tony is a partner in Linley Welwood LLP. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Simon Fraser University in 2001, where he majored in Economics.
He earned his Bachelor of Laws degree in 2004 from the University of New Brunswick.
Upon completing his law degree, Tony was called to the B.C. Bar in 2005.
Tony's practice areas include: business law, corporate/commercial law, real estate law and wills and estates law.
Tony regularly advises clients on all aspects of starting a new business from choosing to set up the right business structure, incorporation and drafting contracts.
He also advises clients through the process of buying and selling businesses and has experience in handling transactions in a broad range of industries.
He represents small to large sized businesses including family-owned and closely held corporations.
In addition to assisting clients with business transactions, Tony assists clients with their business succession and estate planning.
Tony is knowledgeable and experienced with corporate reorganizations, estate freezes and other corporate structures.
He works closely with the clients' accountants and other professional advisors to structure an effective plan and minimize income taxes.
Tony is also counsel for several institutional lenders and acts on their behalf to prepare loan and security documentation for commercial financing transactions.
Outside of the office, Tony is an avid sports fan and enjoys playing sports, snowboarding, travelling and spending time with his wife and two children.
